Individual Professional Development Coaching at UMB
September 22, 2026One-on-one coaching focused on what matters most to you.
Sometimes professional growth requires dedicated time and space to step away from the demands of the day to day and focus on what matters most to you.
UMB’s Professional Development Coaching offers confidential, one-on-one coaching tailored to your individual priorities, challenges, and aspirations. Whether you want to become a more effective leader, feel less overwhelmed, move a stalled project forward, navigate a professional transition, or find greater fulfillment in your work, your coach provides an outside perspective, thoughtful questions, practical strategies, support, and accountability to help you move forward.
Think of it as executive coaching designed for the unique realities of working in an academic environment. You set the agenda. Together, you and your coach identify what you want to accomplish, explore what may be getting in the way, and develop strategies for meaningful progress.
Professional Development Coaching is offered virtually and at no cost through the UMB Office of the Provost. The program is available to UMB faculty, and this year openings are also available for residents, fellows, and staff members.
