This free, weeklong course is open to faculty, fellows, residents, students, and staff at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) and the Baltimore VA with an interest in clinical and translational research and improving their skills in:

  • Clinical research study design
  • Scientific communication
  • Grant writing and career development

Academic Credit Option

Students enrolled in a UMB graduate program who wish to receive academic credit must register for PREV 616 in the fall 2026 semester through their graduate program office. All students considering PREV 616 must contact Jennifer Albrecht, PhD, before registering to confirm eligibility.

Please note: CME and other continuing medical education credits will not be offered for this course.
