Title II with hands on keyboard

March 24, 2026
12:30 to 2 p.m.
Virtual

UMB Title II Task Force co-chairs Emily Hurst, MSLS, dean of the Health Sciences and Human Services Library and associate vice provost, and Christina Cestone, PhD, MA, assistant vice provost of faculty affairs, will lead a virtual town hall discussion about new digital accessibility requirements under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Digital accessibility is not only a legal federal requirement, it also reflects our core value set of Equity and Justice and our dedication to ensuring that every member of our University community can fully participate in academic and campus life. The federal requirements mandate that state and local governmental institutions make their digital content accessible to all users by April 24, 2026. Hurst, Cestone, and other panelists from around the University will share how UMB is preparing to meet this deadline and what it means for our community. Ample time will be reserved for audience Q&A, with panelists responding to questions and considerations specific to different areas across UMB.
