"The Savvy Writer: Strategies for Writing in Graduate School" has been added to the President's Student Leadership Institute calendar. All students are welcome to join this free workshop on Monday, Oct. 26, from noon-1 p.m. in the SMC Campus Center, Room 223. Lunch will be provided.
James Wright, associate director of the UMB Writing Center, will lead this workshop, which will provide you with skills to use academically, professionally, and beyond. This is not your typical writing session. In this session, you will read and analyze models of writing from across genres to identify the practices of expert writers. This workshop satisfies the effective and ethical leadership requirement of the President's Student Leadership Institute and is open to all students, regardless of whether you are a participant in the institute or not.
