Community members trick or treat

The UMB Office of Community and Civic Engagement hosts Trick or Treat with UMB! on Friday, Oct. 30, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at 873 W. Baltimore St. (the parking lot at West Baltimore and South Poppleton streets).

Join us for a night filled with frights and fun. This event provides safe, free Halloween activities for youth and families in West Baltimore. Community members can visit more than 20 stations offering delicious treats, fun games, creative crafts, and more.

Consider volunteering for this event. There are two ways to volunteer:

Run a Trick-or-Treat Table:

UMB student groups, employee groups, and community organizations are invited to sign up to reserve a table. Each group will be provided with one 3-foot-by-6-foot rectangular table and two chairs. To help create a festive atmosphere, groups should decorate their tables and provide treats to community members in attendance. Groups are responsible for bringing their own candy or treats, decorations, and any additional seating they may need. Groups should plan to serve up to 200 youth. Costumes are optional but highly encouraged to help add to the celebration.

Sign up for a trick-or-treat table.

General Volunteer:

Individuals or groups may sign up to volunteer. Shifts are scheduled from 3-6:30 p.m. Roles include setup, registration, greeting, activity support, and breakdown. Volunteers must be adults. Costumes are encouraged.
