Federal Work-Study Position, 2026-2027
Thew Operations and Maintenance (O&M) division at the University of Maryland, Baltimore is looking for enthusiastic, service-oriented students for a paid federal work-study position to support technical and IT-related infrastructure. The O&M student employee will assist in data entry and analysis, report and dashboard development, software testing, technical troubleshooting, and device deployment and management. The primary focus is on utilizing work management systems, reporting tools (such as Power BI), and device configuration and deployment.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Performing basic data entry tasks across university systems.
- Supporting data cleaning and formatting efforts.
- Assisting with building dynamic reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, BIRT, or Oracle Analytics Cloud
- Helping test software updates and complete basic maintenance tasks within the campus work management systems
- Providing basic troubleshooting support to campus users and helping to document system processes.
- Configuring, deploying, and tracking departmental iPads
