Igniting Faculty Capacity for CBE with Maryland Flag and Spark

Friday, Oct. 16
11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Online

This virtual interactive workshop will guide nursing faculty across Maryland through the process of developing a compelling abstract for submission to the CBE Igniter Summit on April 23, 2027. Participants will learn how to communicate their competency-based education initiatives, innovations, outcomes, and lessons learned effectively in a concise and engaging format. Through examples, peer discussion, and dedicated writing time, attendees will leave with a draft abstract and a clear plan for submission.

Objectives: By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Identify the key components of a successful conference abstract, including purpose, methods, outcomes, and implications.
2. Align their CBE project, innovation, or initiative with the CBE Igniter Summit abstract submission criteria.
3. Develop a clear and concise abstract that highlights outcomes of their work.
4. Apply strategies for writing audience-focused abstracts that effectively communicate results and lessons learned.
