Registration closes March 17 for the fourth annual Leaders in Education: Academy of Presidential Scholars (LEAPS) Symposium on Thursday, March 26, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., in the SMC Campus Center. Keynote speaker Anita Samuel, PhD, associate professor, School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, will present "From Innovation to Impact: Conducting Rigorous Educational Research Aided with AI."

This year’s event is designed to empower faculty scholars to engage with artificial intelligence (AI) on their educational research and scholarly projects. Interactive sessions will emphasize practical strategies for using AI to further your educational research agenda, using concrete examples from UMB educational scholars. Participants will explore questions about the ethics, policy, and professional identity impacts of AI in this new educational research landscape.
