Registration Is Open for New Spectroscopy in Pharmaceuticals Hands-On Short Course
August 05, 2026The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy invites you to register for the new Spectroscopy in Pharmaceuticals Hands-On Short Course, taking place Dec. 8-10, 2026.
Designed specifically for pharmaceutical professionals, this immersive three-day course combines expert instruction with extensive hands-on training to help you confidently apply spectroscopy techniques in pharmaceutical research, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory environments.
Unlike traditional lecture-based programs, this course is built around learning by doing. Approximately 70 percent of the course consists of vendor-led hands-on laboratory training, giving participants the opportunity to work directly with industry-standard instrumentation and real pharmaceutical samples.
During the course, you'll gain practical experience with:
- FTIR, Raman, Near-Infrared (NIR), and XRF spectroscopy
- Micro-Raman mapping
- Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and inline monitoring
- Chemometric modeling using pharmaceutical datasets
- Instrument selection and data interpretation for real-world applications
Whether you're expanding your technical knowledge or looking to strengthen your understanding of modern analytical tools, you'll leave with practical skills you can immediately apply in your work.
To ensure all participants have access to the laboratory exercises and one-on-one instruction, enrollment is limited. For group and government discounts, email Keith Freel.
Reserve your seat today and join colleagues from across the pharmaceutical industry for this unique learning experience.
