Title II Town Hall with Thomas J. Tobin, PhD

UMB Virtual Town Hall on Universal Design for Learning

Thursday, Sept. 10

Join colleagues from across the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) for a special town hall in early September featuring nationally recognized accessibility and higher education expert Thomas J. Tobin, PhD, MSLS, PMP, MOT, CPACC.

In his engaging presentation, "Taking Work Off Our Plates with Universal Design for Learning," Tobin will explore how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) can help faculty and staff create more accessible, inclusive, and effective learning experiences while reducing barriers, stress, and workload. The session will highlight practical strategies that support student success, foster belonging, and help the University meet evolving accessibility requirements under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Whether you teach, advise, design courses, provide student support, or lead administrative initiatives, this session will offer actionable ideas you can begin using immediately.

Additional details, including time and registration information, will be shared soon in Elm Weekly. In the meantime, mark this on your September calendar!
