Career Development for Community Health Workers (Recipient of the 2024-2025 Dean’s RISE Award)

Are community health workers (CHW) able to advance in health care and public health careers and contribute to reducing health manpower shortage in the United States? We interviewed 30 CHWs from Baltimore and used a mixed-method analyses to elucidate the factors and ways in which career progression is occurring for CHWs.
