Supporting UMB’s research mission remains a top priority, particularly in areas where security and compliance are critical. The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) is expanding support for the Secure Research Environment (SRE), providing researchers with a standardized, protected computing environment at no cost.
To further strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing, a dedicated Microsoft Teams channel is available for SRE users. This channel serves as a central hub where CITS regularly hosts workshops, shares best practices, and offers ongoing support — cultivating a community space for researchers to connect and stay up to date on secure research computing resources.
This ongoing work enhances UMB’s ability to manage sensitive data responsibly while ensuring research remains accessible and efficient.
