As colleagues, we recognize that food access can influence well-being, focus, and daily life, and we are committed to learning directly from employees about what is working and where additional support may be needed. We are conducting a study to better understand employee experiences with access to food and use of the UMB Employee Pantry.

Your perspective matters — whether you have experienced challenges accessing food, have used the UMB Employee Pantry, or have not had concerns about food access. Input from employees across the full range of experiences is essential to developing an accurate understanding of our campus community.

We invite all UMB employees age 18 and older to complete a brief survey (approximately 15 minutes).

To access the survey, check your UMB email for a message with the subject line: Share your experience with food access and the UMB Employee Pantry. Please complete the survey by April 3. If you cannot locate your email invitation, contact Courtney J. Jones Carney at courtney.carney@umaryland.edu.

At the end of the survey, you may be invited to provide your email address if you are interested in participating in a voluntary follow-up interview.

We sincerely appreciate your time and willingness to share your experiences.

Students, faculty, and staff, let your voice be heard!
