A new partnership between the University of Maryland School of Dentistry (UMSOD) and the Baltimore City Department of Social Services will provide approximately 1,400 foster care youth with consistent dental care through UMSOD's Pediatric Dental Clinic.
Led by Vineet Dhar, BDS, MDS, PhD, clinical professor and chair of the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, the initiative aims to improve oral health outcomes by ensuring children have a dedicated dental home, even as their circumstances change.
