Mercersburg Academy, Summer Programs Health Services Assistant/Intern

The assistant/intern will assist the school’s full-time health center in the daily care of summer participants (nearly 1,000 children ages 8-17), including first aid and supervising participants self-administering medications at meals or in the dorms at evenings. The assistant/intern is often the first contact for campers, counselors, and directors in the event of a medical need. The person who fills this role will gain beneficial experience with patient care, including communication with parents, nurses, and doctors.

This is a paid position with room and board provided.The assistant/intern will gain experience caring for patients while working alongside the school's medical director and RNs in a professional health center setting. Tentative employment dates are June 12-July 31, 2020.
