Health Professionals Scholarship Program, Students Interested in VA
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) invites nursing students who are interested in caring for America’s veterans to apply for the Health Professionals Scholarship Program (HPSP). Through the HPSP, the VA offers educational assistance to students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a Master’s degree in Nursing (Mental Health Practitioners only). After graduating, students will receive additional training in order to enhance their skills as a nurse in a VA Residency program. VA nurses are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the best treatment possible, from the bedside to case management.
