COVID-19 Update for UMSON Students
May 14, 2021Communications and resources continue to be added to UMSON's COVID-19 Response webpage.
The University of Maryland, Baltimore’s (UMB) COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at the SMC Campus Center has received approval to vaccinate anyone 12 or older regardless of whether they live, work, or learn in the city of Baltimore. This includes all students, faculty, and staff of UMB, as well as alumni, family members, friends, and neighbors.
These appointments can be made by going to our one-stop website for the clinic, GetTheVaccineBaltimore.org, or by calling 410-706-3000 weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- On the UMSON Student COVID-19 Vaccination, Testing, and SAFE Screening Requirements page, a section has been added with University System of Maryland Vaccination Mandate information. Additionally, deadlines for vaccine administration have been added:
- First shot (if applicable): July 1
- Final shot: Aug. 2
- Under the UMSON Status header, a link to the UMB Return to Campus Guide has been added.
- In the right-hand sidebar, a link has been added to a new Ready for Re-Entry form, which accepts UMSON-specific questions and topics for consideration.
- Under Information for Students > Communications Archive, a new communication has been added:
- April 30, 2021: Vaccine Requirements Update
- Students should upload proof of vaccination to CastleBranch.
- The Guidance and Letters to the UMB Community section has been updated with the following:
- May 14, 2021: Pop-Up Pantry Delivery
- May 12, 2021: Mayor Brandon M. Scott Eases COVID-19 Restrictions
- May 12, 2021: Walk-Up COVID-19 Vaccinations at UMB
- May 12, 2021: If I’ve already had COVID-19 and recovered, do I still need to get vaccinated?
All UMSON community members are expected to check their umaryland.edu email and review the UMSON COVID-19 Response and UMB Recovery webpages daily for updates, which are occurring regularly.
