The University of Maryland, Baltimore’s Diversity Advisory Council (DAC) has an opening for membership for one UMSON faculty member and one UMSON staff member. The DAC meets on the third Wednesday of every month (except July and December), 8 - 9:30 a.m.

The DAC is the UMB president’s advisory committee on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues and is composed of faculty, staff, and student members from each school at UMB.

If interested in serving, please submit your name, a brief summary of your interest in the DAC, and why this membership is important to you. Keep in mind that the DAC also has a number of subcommittees in which all campus community members are invited to participate.

Nominees should submit the information referenced above to Jeff Ash, assistant professor and associate dean for diversity and inclusion, at jash@umaryland.edu with the subject line “DAC member representative” by Aug. 3, 2021.
