Call for Proposals: MPower 2021 Seed Grants
July 06, 2021The Joint Steering Council of the University of Maryland Strategic Partnership – MPower – is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity for collaborators at the both University of Maryland, Baltimore and the University of Maryland, College Park. Read the Request for Proposal document for this 2021 Seed Grant Challenge, which invites collaborative research proposals in six themes.
Funding up to $3 million (total) has been earmarked to support multiple large and small projects, with varying durations. Small projects will receive support up to $50,000 each for a term of no more than six months; large projects will be considered for funding up to $250,000 each for durations no longer than 24 months. The number of grants awarded will be determined based on the size of the awards.
Submissions will follow a multi-step process beginning with a Notice of Intent to Submit email due Aug. 2, to be followed by Step 1 Proposals to be due in September.
