Join UMB's Center for Global Engagement for a three-part series where experts will discuss why the United States has taken a divergent route on internal human rights and how embracing the international human rights  system could make a critical impact in addressing systemic racism and differential access to education and health care.

The first event will look at "Racial Injustice in the U.S. from a Human Rights Perspective" on Sept. 17 from noon-1 p.m. on Zoom.

A panel of experts will discuss systemic racism in the U.S. with a specific focus on whether applying a human rights lens would be a step forward toward addressing racism in this country. It will be moderated by Roger J. Ward, EdD, JD, MSL, MPA, interim provost and executive vice president, UMB.
