If you are using Microsoft Teams on Mac, Teams now gives you the option to choose your notification style between the built-in (purple) desktop notification or your macOS desktop notifications. If you choose the Mac notification style, you are presented with more options such as muting notifications on “Do Not Disturb” mode.
To choose your notification style on your Mac for Microsoft Teams:
1. In Teams, click Settings, then Notifications.
2. Under the Appearance and Sound section, you will see Notification Style.
3. Click the drop-down menu next to it and choose between the Teams Built-In or Mac option.
