The University of Maryland, Baltimore’s (UMB) Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) will host a forum from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 9 to update the University community on EDI leadership, planning, and implementation over the past six months.

Diane Forbes Berthoud, PhD, MA, UMB’s inaugural chief EDI officer and vice president, started at the University in July and has recently hired her team, who will be introduced to the campus during the forum. Bill Joyner, JD, MSW, has been hired to serve as the director of EDI, and Reetta Gach, MS, MBA, is executive assistant to the chief EDI officer and vice president.

The forum will also serve as an opportunity for the EDI team to preview activities and opportunities to get involved in EDI work in the upcoming six months, to answer questions, and hear feedback about EDI issues from the University community.
