The election polls are open for the 2020-2022 Staff Senate Term. Candidate statements and the ballot can be accessed at www.umaryland.edu/ssenate.
Make your voice heard by electing the staff members you feel would do the best job for you on the Staff Senate. Exempt, Non-Exempt/Excluded, and Contractual II employees at UMB are eligible to vote.
The UMB Staff Senate has been instrumental in advocating for initiatives ranging from civility and campus Core Values, parking and transportation, public safety, employee recognition and development, campus life, fair leave policies, as well as organizing community outreach initiatives such as school supply drives, Thanksgiving food collection and supporting the Community Engagement Center, among others.
The top 13 candidates will be full voting senators for two years. The top 14-17 vote-getters will serve on the Senate as alternates for a one-year term.
The last day to vote is Friday, May 22.
