With online school and remote learning taking place, volunteering opportunities have been limited. Considering this, UMSON has organized TWO volunteer opportunities that could help families in the Baltimore area and earn you some Nursing Student Government Association (NSGA) points.
The Ronald McDonald House serves as a home for families with children who receive treatment at neighboring hospitals in Baltimore. You can either write a note of encouragement, donate requested items, or both. Any note or contribution will be greatly appreciated.
- Notes of encouragement mean a lot to the families that are utilizing the Ronald McDonald house and are a simple way to make a difference in someone's day. Writing notes of encouragement - 2 points.
- Any items from the official Ronald McDonald House wish list can be delivered to the address listed below. The Ronald McDonald House also has an Amazon wish list where items can be directly purchased and will be delivered directly to families. Direct donations - 4 points.
