Newly hired full-time faculty members of UMSON may be eligible for the New Nursing Faculty Fellowship awarded by the Maryland Higher Education Commission. Faculty must have been offered employment by July 1, 2020 and begin their employment by fall 2021. You may not have previously received this grant at another institution. Awards are made for a period of up to five years, at $10,000 per year or as funding permits, as long as the recipient remains in good standing as a full-time faculty member.

All nominations must be submitted by the Dean's office. Potential nominees should contact Deborah Prout (prout@umaryland.edu) promptly to confirm eligibility and review the materials required for submittal. All materials will be due to the Dean's office by August 25, 2021 in order to comply with the August 31 submittal deadline.
