Deadline: Feb. 1, 2021

At Greater Los Angeles (GLA) VA, we are recruiting our 6th cohort for the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) Residency. The residency emphasizes interprofessional teamwork, practicing in the Patient Centered Medical Home Model (known as Patient Aligned Care Team at the VA), population health, quality improvement, leadership, and scholarship. The primary care population of focus is vulnerable veterans experiencing homelessness. This residency is part of the Center of Education, which is also home to internal medicine, pharmacy, psychiatry, psychology, and social work residents all learning together. Adult-Gerontology Primary Care and Family NP students who will graduate in the next six months are potentially eligible. The paid residency starts in August for 12 months duration. We have a strong history of success in preparing new NPs for VA employment to carry out this very rewarding work.

Federal employment eligibility criteria are the same for NP residents. More information is available on our program website. Once there, click on the Nursing tab.
