February 20, 2020March 4, 2020
2 – 3 p.m.
UMMC Auditorium
Understanding workplace violence is essential in maintaining a healthy workplace. This study analyzed Maryland-specific data from the American Nurses Association’s (ANA) Heath Risk Appraisal national survey and found that nurses and nursing students in Maryland experience workplace violence from patients, families, peers, and those in positions of higher authority. There is opportunity to increase comfort in reporting bullying and workplace violence, as well as increasing education and prevention training.
Light refreshments will be provided.
