School of Social Work researchers are conducting a needs assessment of Asian and Asian-American families raising children with autism or other development disabilities in Maryland.

The needs of this population have not been explored in detail in the literature. Study participants will complete an online survey on their caregiving experiences as well as barriers and facilitators for community participation and service use.

Any Asian primary caregiver in Maryland of a child under age 18 with a developmental disability is eligible to participate. Participants receive $20 to complete the 45- to 60-minute survey.

Participants can access the survey at https://tinyurl.com/y3zaopxl. The survey is available in English, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, and Vietnamese.

If you have any questions or wish to access a hard copy of the survey, please contact Dr. Irang Kim at irang.kim@ssw.umaryland.edu or 410-706-7927.
