Cancer Biology: From Basic Research to the Clinic (GPLS 665, fall semester) 

The next generation of basic science investigators will need to apply the best of basic science research to tackle disease-related problems. For students interested in cancer biology, this 3-credit course in the Graduate Program in Life Sciences (GPLS) will discuss the challenges faced by cancer clinicians and inspire them to tackle these problems using the tools and approaches they possess as basic scientists. 

Join us for an introduction to the process of translational cancer research from conception to clinical practice, with special emphasis on therapeutic success stories.

Prerequisite: GPLS 790-Introduction to Cancer Biology is recommended, but not mandatory.
