Optimizing Maryland's Nursing Workforce
Monday, May 23, 2022
offered virtually

MDAC leads innovation in improving the health of individuals, communities, and populations through efforts that build and sustain a culture of health.

Health care is challenged with achieving a diverse, highly skilled, and stable nursing workforce. This challenge has been amplified by the recent pandemic and is undergirded by the continuing demand for more nurses.

Summit Objectives:

  1. Identify initiatives that cultivate a diverse and skilled nursing workforce.
  2. Describe approaches for preparing students to meet future health care needs, including social determinants of health.
  3. Explore evolving strategies for retaining Maryland’s nursing workforce.

Continuing education credits for nurses will be available.

Keep an eye on our website and your inbox for additional information. Our call for abstracts and registration will be out in early 2022.

Registration costs for this year’s summit are being subsidized by the Maryland Nursing Workforce Center, a Nurse Support Program II-funded initiative.

The University of Maryland School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
