Participants are needed for a study on sickle cell disease. This research is being done to evaluate the effects of sleep patterns on how the brain regulates the perception of pain.

This study will help researchers understand how sleep might influence chronic pain in conditions such as sickle cell disease. You are eligible if you have sickle cell disease, are at least 18, and are not planning to move in the next year.

The study involves measuring people's responses to sensory stimuli and may include drawing your blood at several time points. There is no cost to you for any of the procedures.

The study provides payment and reimbursement for parking.

If you are interested in participating in this study, please email Jim Stone at jstone8@jhmi.edu or call 410-550-7906.
