The Staff Senate is collaborating with the UMB Office of Community Engagement to identifty needs for West Baltimore families this holiday season.
In previous years, donations have supported a Christmas Store held at the UMB Community Engagement Center (CEC) that provided families a unique opportunity to purchase gifts at a significantly reduced price so every family can experience the joy of giving.
This year, in our ever-changing environment, funds raised through the Holiday Donation Drive will be used to support the needs of families in West Baltimore as they arise throughout the holiday season and beyond.
Your generous donation will support UMB's partnership with The Foundry, a local church, hosting the Christmas Store at the CEC on Dec. 11. West Baltimore community members will be able to shop for brand-new toys and gifts donated by the UMB and Foundry Church communities. The store will allow parents and caregivers to shop for new gifts for their loved ones at deeply discounted rates.
Donations are being accepted now through Dec. 9 and will be used to purchase toys and gifts to stock the store. To shop for wish-list items for the store, please click here.
Any contributions made or remaining after items are purchased will be used for future Staff Senate community outreach projects.
