UMB Junior Faculty Can Learn More About the UMB ICTR NIH CTSA KL2 Career Development Awards Program
April 07, 2021National Institutes of Health Career Development (K) Awards programs assist junior faculty toward independent research and in becoming competitive for major grant support.
Dr. Christy Chang, director of the UMB ICTR/NIH CTSA KL2 Mentored Career Development Program, and Dr. Marey Shriver, director of the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) Research Career Development Program, will provide an brief overview of the NIH K award program and the SOM K-Club with a more in-depth review of the UMB ICTR NIH CTSA KL2 Award Program.
Faculty, especially junior faculty, from all UMB schools are encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity to get an early start on preparing an application for the UMB ICTR CTSA KL2 January 2022 deadline and learning more about K awards in general.
