URecFit has joined the 2020 Recreation Movement. The program is about staying active together, even though we’re apart. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are able to participate in online workout classes from 40 colleges and universities across the country. Digital fitness and recreation are great ways for people to connect, engage, and stay healthy during these uncertain times.

To participate, create an account using your @umaryland.edu address and instantly access live and prerecorded workout, fitness, and movement classes. After each class, log your total number of active minutes and watch as UMB’s total minutes stack up against other participating schools. The Movement is all about staying active together. So take a class, complete a daily challenge, complete a weekly workout, move in your own way, and show everyone how you #RecAtHome.

The website to sign up and to find more information is here: https://2020recreationmovement.com/. It is free to sign up and to take classes from other schools. You can access our classes and programs from our website and our portal. After each activity go to https://2020recreationmovement.com/ to record your active minutes. These activities can include a walk, at-home workout, virtual group fitness class, or anything that keeps you moving while at home! If you’d like to post a photo of yourself on our social media to show us how you #RecAtHome post them here: TwitterFacebook, and Instagram.

 Enjoy the Movement!
