In a video message on June 5, UMB Interim President Bruce E. Jarrell, MD, FACS, thanked the University’s essential workers for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our essential employees are the backbone of this community. Because of you, we are able to keep the UMB faculty, students, and staff working toward our mission of improving the human condition. ... Thank you for rising to this occasion,” Jarrell says.
