What Does the Maryland Charity Campaign Mean to You?
October 30, 2019“I like to seize opportunities to do good. I pick up trash on the street. I smile at strangers. And I donate to the Maryland Charity Campaign [MCC]. Every year I have the great honor to do good through the MCC. I picture my dollars helping to feed a child, or cleaning up the environment, or even providing health care in far-off places … touching the lives of people I don’t or won’t ever know, saving the world and doing good one donation at a time.”
— M.J. Tooey, MLS, AHIP, FMLA, associate vice president, Academic Affairs; executive director, Health Sciences and Human Services Library; and MCC co-chair for UMB
The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) has a long and generous history of participating in the Maryland Charity Campaign (MCC), a workplace giving program that encourages state employees to make charitable donations in support of the causes they care about. Our theme this year is “Strengthening Our Community.”
