If you missed Dr. Lawrence T. Brown’s “From the Heights” talk on March 15, you can now view both the first and second virtual talks of the series of Promise Heights free virtual programs via its YouTube Channel.

This most recent 90-minute discussion between Dr. Nadine M. Finigan-Carr and Dr. Brown focused on his new book, "The Black Butterfly: The Harmful Politics of Race and Space in America.”

Their discussion explored Brown’s clear five-step plan to achieve racial equality. While putting Baltimore under a microscope, Brown also examined the causes of segregation, many that exist in current legislation and regulatory policy — despite the common belief that overtly racist policies are of the past. They also discussed redlining, radicalized politics in Baltimore and beyond, and the current state of vaccine apartheid.
