If you need help with any UMB application, system, or service, the Help Desk can assist.

Visit https://www.umaryland.edu/helpdesk/ for information, including:

  • How to contact the central IT Help Desk, including email address and phone number, hours, and after-hours support.
  • Top Calls for Help — quickly find help with the most common issues.
  • Links to support pages and FAQs for systems and services.
  • A list of the other Help Desks on campus. The IT Help Desk supports those systems common to all or most schools and departments. The local Help Desks support those systems only in use at a specific school or department.

Additionally, if you email the Help Desk, be sure to include the following for a quicker resolution: 

  • Subject: Include the name of the system and brief summary of the issue in a few words
  • Body:

o   Your name and affiliation.

o   The URL or web address of the system.

o   Any error messages.

o   A screenshot of the problem.
