Eight Professors Earn Highest Faculty Honor at UMB

University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) President Bruce E. Jarrell, MD, FACS, announced in a letter to the University community May 22, 2023, that eight UMB professors have been designated as Distinguished University Professors:
- William T. Carpenter, MD, University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM)
- Robert K. Ernst, PhD, University of Maryland School of Dentistry
- Claire Fraser, PhD, UMSOM
- Donald G. Gifford, JD, University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law
- Geoffrey Greif, PhD, MSW, LCSW-C, University of Maryland School of Social Work
- Margaret M. "Peg" McCarthy, PhD, UMSOM
- Fadia T. Shaya, PhD, MPH, University of Maryland School of Pharmacy
- J. Marc Simard, MD, PhD, UMSOM
