Appreciation

Please take the time to thank an Environmental Services team member.

National Cleaning Week (March 24-30) is a time to celebrate the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in our workplace and beyond. Each year, starting on the fourth Sunday in March, we celebrate the annual tradition of spring cleaning. This week presents an opportunity for us to reflect on the significance of maintaining a clean and organized environment, not only for our physical well-being but also for our overall productivity and morale.

At UMB, we recognize the vital role that cleanliness plays in creating a safe, healthy, and welcoming atmosphere for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Employees are encouraged to take ownership and personal responsibility for the cleanliness and organization of their work spaces. It is important to tidy up after oneself, properly dispose of trash, and report any maintenance issues promptly.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Environmental Services (EVS) team for their dedicated efforts in keeping our facilities clean and safe. Their hard work and commitment ensure that our campus areas, inside and out, remain conducive to productivity and well-being.

As we commemorate National Cleaning Week, let us reaffirm our commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and the well-being of our University community. Together, we can create a workplace that fosters productivity, positivity, and pride.

Students, faculty, and staff, let your voice be heard!
