Flyer for Summer fun on Eutaw Street.

UMB’s EMBRACE Initiative is hosting fun events on Eutaw Street this summer. To kick off the festivities, come out July 9-11 for hand dancing, yoga, music, and a community art project.

Please join the first week of “Embrace Vibrancy” on Eutaw Street!

The University of Maryland, Baltimore’s EMBRACE Initiative will be on the lower plaza next to Lexington Market on Tuesday, July 9, to Thursday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Be part of our community art project, family-friendly music, yoga, and hand dancing!

All week, we will have DJ Romey Rome! He is a 15-year-old graduate of our community partner, HeartSmiles. DJ Romey Rome will be playing music for everyone! Check out HeartSmiles’ phenomenal programs on its website.

On Tuesday, we will be doing yoga with Creative Nomads! Please see information about its amazing programs on its website.

On Wednesday, we will be hand dancing with Steppin’ with Mariska!

Come and use your talents to create a community art project with Creative Nomads!

We also will have community partners on-site!

Please learn, and build partnership, with Neighborhood Housing Services of Baltimore on Tuesday and Wednesday. It will share information about resources to help achieve and maintain homeownership, and will provide educational resources, specialized financial programs, and support systems for Baltimore households!

St. Vincent de Paul Head Start will be on-site Wednesday to help families with young children enroll in Head Start.

Come on Tuesday and Thursday to meet UMB Police and Public Safety’s favorite comfort K-9, Poe! He will bring a smile to your face and take away all of your stress!

We also will have fun and games like cornhole, hopscotch, and bubbles, plus, of course, ice cream!
