Victoria Meadows

The manager of the Enterprise Risk Management Program is recognized for her professional accomplishments and experience, community involvement, and commitment to inspiring change.


Victoria Meadows, MS, manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program, Office of the Provost, was named to The Daily Record’s list of Leading Women Under 40 for 2024. 

The Leading Women awards honor women who are 40 years old or younger for their career accomplishments. Winners are selected for the honor based on their professional experience, community involvement, and commitment to inspiring change.

“It is a great honor to be named a Leading Woman Under 40 for the accomplishments I have made so far in my career,” Meadows said. “In everything I do in my life, I always look to make a difference and a positive change. UMB has played a big role in my success as well as my experiences at the National Aquarium and my alma mater, Notre Dame of Maryland University. I am grateful for the support I have received from so many throughout my career, including so many at UMB.”

At UMB, Meadows leads the way in the development of the ERM Program by bringing it to new heights through program development, data analytics, project management, and relationship building across UMB schools and units. 

Meadows is inspired by UMB’s mission and is committed to continuing to develop the ERM Program through positive change and by encouraging a culture of care. Meadows always is looking to improve the ERM Program through her many connections with external partners and organizations. 

Previously  at UMB, Meadows worked for the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) as a lab manager and research specialist in the Center for Epigenetic Research in Child Health and Brain Development in the Department of Pharmacology. She originally joined UMB in 2016 as a research assistant in UMSOM’s Department of Anesthesiology.

Meadows also is a student at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law pursuing a Master of Science in Law with the focus of homeland security and crisis management law. 

Along with her work at UMB, Meadows is deeply involved in her community by volunteering her time at the National Aquarium to inspire the next generation to preserve our ocean planet through conservation efforts and educational initiatives through animal training. In addition, she continues to be involved with her alma mater, Notre Dame of Maryland University, through her work as president emeritus of the Alumnae and Alumni Council. 

The Leading Women Under 40 honorees will be recognized Aug. 21 during a reception at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
