Halloween Fright Fest at UMB

The International Students Organization and the United Students of African Descent collaborate to host a campuswide Halloween event including a Paint-N-Sip program.
The University of Maryland, Baltimore International Students Organization collaborated with the United Students of African Descent to hold a Fright Night Halloween event that featured festive drinks, costumes, creativity, and fun.
The students decorated the Medical School Teaching Facility’s Atrium to make it look creepy and featured nonalcoholic drinks like the Vampire Delight (cranberry juice, blood orange syrup, and lemon-lime soda) and Poisoned Potion (black cherry juice, coke, and blackberry syrup). About 50 students attended.
The Paint-N-Sip portion of the program added another level of interaction with students showing off their costumes and posing for pictures while they painted canvases.

Agbo-oma Uwakweh, a PharmD Program student at the School of Pharmacy, was the Best Costume Winner. Uwakweh was dressed as Elphaba, one of the witches in the recent movie “Wicked.”
The Fright Night and Paint-N-Sip program were sponsored by the University Student Government Association.
