We are thrilled to announce that three of our exceptional SSW students have been selected as Provost's Global Scholars for 2025!


We are thrilled to announce that three of our exceptional SSW students have been selected as Provost's Global Scholars for 2025! This prestigious program offers UMB students the opportunity to engage in critical analysis of complex global systems and their implications for people's lives and Earth's sustainability.

 

Our outstanding scholars and their projects are:

 

David Robertson
Project: "Enhancing Caregiver Support in Grief through a Community-Led Initiative with Make-A-Wish Norge"
Location: Norway

 

Simpson Kamugisha
Project: "Qualitative Study of the Lived Experiences of Boda Boda Drivers Who Have Experienced Accidents in Uganda"
Location: Uganda

 

Thomas Northrup
Project: "Developing a Psychodrama Model for Disaster Recovery"
Location: Japan

Each scholar will receive a $2,000 stipend to support their educational expenses related to their proposed experience. Learn more about Provost Global Scholars program.
