Jay Unick Receives USM Board of Regents Faculty Award for Excellence in Scholarship for Research.
University of Maryland School of Social Work (UMSSW) is proud to announce that Dr. Jay Unick been honored in this year’s University System of Maryland Board of Regents (BOR) Faculty & Staff Awards, the highest distinction presented by the BOR for exemplary faculty achievement. This year, Dr. Unick is one of only seven award recipients recognized for their outstanding contributions.
In the Faculty Awards category, Dr. Unick has been selected for the Excellence in Scholarship or Research award, reflecting his exceptional impact and leadership in advancing knowledge in his field. These awards honor faculty and staff whose accomplishments significantly exceed standard expectations and demonstrate remarkable contributions in teaching, research, creative activity, public service, and mentoring, as defined by the BOR criteria for excellence.
Dr. Unick and the other awardees will be formally recognized by the Board of Regents during its spring meeting, with a ceremony and public announcement highlighting their achievements and the meaningful ways their work advances the mission of the University of Maryland School of Social Work, UMB, and the University System of Maryland.
