UMB’s one-stop-shop housing resource is designed to simplify the housing and roommate search.
On April 21, the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Division of Student Affairs partnered with Off Campus Partners to launch a dedicated Off-Campus Housing website designed to simplify the housing and roommate search. The new website will assist UMB students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, staff, and affiliates with housing navigation in or around Baltimore or the Universities at Shady Grove. In addition to property listings, this new platform provides the UMB community with easy access to the tools and resources needed to make living in or around Baltimore a positive experience throughout their time at UMB.
Key features of the Off-Campus Housing Website include:
- Map-based housing search with a variety of tools, including filters for proximity to campus, price range, shared housing versus entire units, lease type, pet policy, parking options, neighborhoods, and a comprehensive list of amenities.
- Detailed property listings featuring photos, floor plans, contact information, a commute planning tool, and more.
- Valuable insights on tenant rights and responsibilities.
- Local resources to help you settle into life in or around Baltimore, including guidance on navigating the area, discovering local activities, accessing community information, setting up utilities, and staying connected on campus.
- Roommate finder tool where students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, staff, and affiliates can create a profile and connect with other members of the UMB community. Individuals can filter by personal and social habits, housing timelines/preferences, graduation year, program, and more.
- Sublet listing feature allowing members of the UMB community to create and post a property listing at no cost.
The site will be continuously updated with new listings and housing resources. To use this platform, students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, staff, and affiliates must use their UMID username and password. From there, users can contact property managers, use the roommate finder, or share a listing!
Those with existing accounts can sign in.
