The UMB Student Pantry recently hosted its first Open Door Event, giving students an opportunity to come in, explore the pantry, and learn more about how the pantry works and the resources available to them.
During the event, students were able to shop for themselves and see the variety of food and other items available. This hands-on experience allowed students to become more familiar with the pantry and better understand the types of items that may be included when they place an order.
The Open-Door Event was also a great opportunity to connect with students and encourage them to take advantage of the resources available through the UMB Student Pantry. Students were reminded that the pantry is here to support them and that sharing information with their classmates can help more students learn about and use this valuable resource.
The pantry looks forward to continuing to create opportunities for students to visit, learn, and feel comfortable accessing the resources available to them. Through events like the Open-Door Event, the UMB Student Pantry hopes to continue building awareness and making sure students know that the pantry is here for them.
