UMB and UMMC buildings are lit up to show support for the health care professionals and other essential employees working on-site during the COVID-19 crisis.


As the sun set on downtown Baltimore on April 10, buildings of the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) came alive with color to honor the dedicated health care workers, first responders, and other essential employees who are risking their lives every day in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

UMB buildings are awash in red light, while the UMMC Downtown and UMMC Midtown campuses are bathed in blue.
