man receiving vaccine

UMB employees and students must receive their final vaccine dose by Aug. 2. Visit the UMB COVID-19 Management Portal for forms to request a medical or religious exemption.

The University System of Maryland has mandated that employees and students must be vaccinated before returning to the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus for the fall semester. If you haven’t been vaccinated, please plan ahead. You must receive your final vaccine dose by Aug. 2.

For the two-dose vaccines — Pfizer and Moderna — you should use the target date of  scheduling your first dose by July 1.

You can schedule your vaccine at the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s Vaccination Clinic at the SMC Campus Center at GetTheVaccineBaltimore.org. The final date for first doses administered at the clinic will be June 19, and the final date for second doses will be July 17.

UMB will provide medical and religious exemptions to this vaccination mandate, as provided for under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

You can learn how to receive an exemption here.

Visit the UMB COVID-19 Management Portal for the exemption forms. Once in the pathway to request an exemption, the portal will explain the steps necessary to submit signatures and any necessary documentation.
