UMB Recovery Task Force

UMB will provide medical and religious exemptions to the vaccination mandate, as provided for under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The University System of Maryland is requiring that all students and employees at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) campus be vaccinated against COVID-19 for the fall semester. All UMB employees and students must receive their final dose by Aug. 2.

For UMB, this includes all UMB-operated property including, but not limited to, UMB’s campus, Maryland Psychiatric Research Center, Donaldson Brown Riverfront Event Center, Columbus Center, UM BioPark, and other satellite offices. This also includes UMB students, faculty, and staff at the Universities at Shady Grove.

UMB will provide medical and religious exemptions to this vaccination mandate, as provided for under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

You can learn how to receive an exemption here.

Visit the UMB COVID-19 Management Portal for the exemption forms. Once in the pathway to request an exemption, the portal will explain the steps necessary to submit signatures and any necessary documentation.
